This Week in ELA:  Unit 4 Week 2: ONLINE

For ELA there will be assignments posted on www.pearsonrealize.com for students to do throughout the week. A few things to note:

  • Students should do all of the practice with decodable readers, leveled readers, vocabulary and phonics activities for the week FIRST, then do the assignments called "Fresh Reads for Fluency & Comprehension" & "Weekly Test" last, as these will assess how they're doing with the skills for the week.
  • There is also an assignment on www.readingeggs.com this week for our phonics sound /ea/.
  • There will not be any homework packets or formal assessments during the time we're away. We will be using the "Fresh Read" and "Weekly Tests" as practice and reinforcement grades in the grade book.
Below is an outline of the plan for the week. When your child logs in to www.pearsonrealize.com, they will see the assignments listed under "My Work." If your child is really focused one day and wants to work ahead, that is fine.
