Science/Social Studies:

What are we learning about this week?
On Monday we will do our trash bash pick up, Tuesday we will have our Unit 5 Test, and on Wednesday we will share things about our Culture!
 
Homework:

The Unit 5 Review was sent home on Friday 4/20 and is due on Tuesday.


Wheeles Math:

What are we learning about this week?
We will measure with inches, identify the difference between inches, feet, and yards, and measure lengths using different customary units.

What are we learning about this week?:

Our super second graders are excited to be learning reading strategies to become strong, fluent readers.

  • Books: The First Tortilla
  • Grammar: Adverbs that tell how
  • Spelling: too, new, fruit, blue, true, fool, suit, spoon, clue, juice, drew, flew(Spelling Quiz next week).

Things to practice at home: When your child is reading to you, stop them at the end of each page/paragraph and ask them to retell what it was about. Make sure they answer in complete sentences with details.
