How to choose a time slot based on your child’s grade:
Grades 1st-2nd: Please choose ONE slot for your child's Home Base teacher. If your child has a different teacher for Math or ELA, you may also select a slot for that person as well. You will need to know the teacher's name to do this.
Grades 5th-6th: Please choose a minimum of one slot in a subject area for which your child has set a goal. This course could be an area of struggle or one in which they would like to challenge themselves. As these grades are departmentalized, you are not required to see the Home Base teachers; however, you are welcome to do so if the schedule allows for it.
Grades 7th-12th: Please choose a minimum of 1 slot, but feel free to select additional slots as your child has a departmentalized schedule and up to 5 academic teachers each day. *Note you may at times experience a line at the Upper School as each teacher may have up to 75 students on their roster. You are encouraged to drop in when your schedule allows. *Note: busiest lines are in the evening.
Fine Art (FA): FA Teachers do not require appointments. They will be available for 'drop-ins' during the SLC times on both days. Upper and Lower School FA Teachers will be in their classrooms. Lower School PE teachers will be available in the US Art Classroom 126 and Technology Teachers will be available in the library.
NOTE: If your family is not present during SLC conferences, it is expected that a Student-Led Conference his held via phone. Please contact your child's Home Base teacher to determine a day/time during the SLC conference window OR before the SLC Days that you may call in. This timeline will allow multiple teachers to speak with you/ your child if needed.
