Summer is almost here! Our 3rd, soon to be 4th graders have earned some much needed rest, relaxation and FUN this summer! However, if you are looking for ways to keep your students engaged in activities to help them keep their skills fresh, here are some ideas...

Summer Work: Students who bring back Summer Work will receive a treat when we come Back-To-School!

1. Students would benefit from practicing skills on or  They have their Usernames and Passwords in their agendas.
2. Practicing flashcards to become fluent with basic multiplication and division facts would also help build their confidence for 4th grade.  4th grade math has a heavy focus on skills that require they be fluent with these facts, so they need to have them down : )
3. Students brought home math books and Skill Folders.  Going through those and working on any unfinished work would be great review!

I wish you all a happy, healthy, restful, fun summer! See you in August!

Late Work:

Starting in the 2nd trimester, late homework and classwork will be accepted for a given topic up until the day of the test for late credit.  After the test, the scores will be entered as a '0'.
- exceptions for sickness and travel will be considered case-by-case.

During student absences, I remove the days work from their books and send it home for make-up work.  Please check their orange take-home folders for any make-up work. If you have questions or your student will be out an extended period of time, please reach out so we can come up with a plan together.
