Star Student of the Week

Congratulations to our star student this week, Nishanth! Nish is kind to everyone. He has a positive attitude towards school and learning. He always tries his personal best and supports his classmates. Way to go Nishanth! 

Science/Social Studies:

We will learn about our country's capital, Washington DC, our local, state, and national government, ambassadors, treaties, and learn how other governments may run differently than our country. 

Homework:
A review will be sent home on Monday, November 11th and is due on Friday!

Our Spelling Test will be Tuesday, November 12th.

Things to practice at home: When your child is reading to you, stop them at the end of each page/paragraph and ask them to retell what it was about. Make sure they answer in complete sentences with details.

Homebase Announcements:
  • Thank you all to Izabela's mom for coming in for our fun Friday! We had a lot of fun making tornadoes! 
  • PBIS School-wide Reward for November

    Starting Friday, 11/1/19 each homeroom will be working hard to earn 2,000 points by Monday, November 25 to earn the Playground/Moon bounce Reward!!!

    This event is on the calendar for Tuesday, November 11/26/19. If earned, we will participate from 8:30-9:30am.

  • If you have any extra candy you don't want, please consider donating it to the Royal Ball. Please make sure it's individually wrapped and doesn't expire before March.
  • Our First End of Trimester Celebration is this Friday, November 15th. We will be leaving school at 11:15 and returning at 2:30pm. Chaperoning is free. If you are interested in chaperoning or meeting up with us there, please let me know! We would love to have more chaperones. Also, students should wear their normal uniform and bring a throw away lunch. They will be eating lunch there. If you have not signed up your child's shoe size, please do so by Wednesday. 
  • Our First Trimester Awards Ceremony is Thursday, November 21st from 1:40-2:40pm. If your child is receiving an award from me, you were already notified. Each child will receive an award at one of the ceremonies. If they did not get one this ceremony, they will be getting one at either the 2nd or 3rd. To sign up to come, please RSVP at First Trimester Ceremony Sign Up.  

Classroom General Information

  • We are so excited to be getting our Hamster in our classroom! We are looking for people to volunteer to take him home over the weekend. I will not be able to send him home on the bus. If you sign up, you will have to be able to pick him up in the classroom on Friday (or the day that you signed up for) and return Monday.
