This is the image for the news article titled RA Boys’ and Girls’ Varsity Basketball Teams Both Win BigPHOENIXVILLE, PA --- The Renaissance Academy Lady Knights basketball team won their home opener last night with a 38-26 victory over the Woodlynde Warriors from Wayne, PA.

Top offensive scorer for the Lady Knights was center, Kayla Andrews who played a hard offensive game scoring 12 points. Co-captain Chasity Foley played well on both ends of the floor scoring 9 points, while Co-captain Anna Algeo scored 7 points. Sophomores Jesse Seaverns and Dani Murdoch used a strong defensive effort to defeat the Warriors. Fiona Kelly, Tatyana Rucker-Henderson, and Alayna Dunham contributed both on defense and offense, each scoring 2 points.

The Lady Knights’ next game will be on December 17th, when the team will travel to Collegium to face off against the Cougars.

Yesterday, the Renaissance Academy varsity boys’ basketball team also faced off against Woodlynde, winning huge with a final score of 53-22.

Junior, Tyre Perry led all scorers with 18 points, followed by Senior, Isaiah Weatherspoon who added 9 points to the victory. The win was an entire team effort, with over 7 different players scoring and everyone contributing strong on the defensive side.

The Knights boys’ varsity team’s record is currently 2-0. The squad’s next game is a league game tonight, when they will travel to Exton to challenge the Collegium Charter School Cougars.
