The ceremony was held at 7:00 pm, at the Valley Forge University, Flower Chapel, Phoenixville, PA.
The keynote speaker, selected by popular vote, was Michelle Boyd, Upper School Principal at RA. Ms. Boyd, who spent most of her childhood in Coatesville, PA, studied education at Penn State University’s Main Campus, graduating in 2003. Originally hired as a building substitute by RA, Ms. Boyd moved into a full time position teaching Middle School English Language Arts in 2003. She went on to earn her Master’s degree in Education and earned her K-12 principal certification. Ms. Boyd who served as the lead teacher of the Michelangelo team for five years before moving on to become the Upper School Principal said, "I am beyond proud of the Class of 2015! I have spent the last six years working closely with them both as their teacher and then as their principal. Their academic accomplishments speak for themselves by earning $5,709,000.00 in scholarships, but what stands out most to me is their strong and honorable character. I am certain we are going to hear great things from this class and they have surely left their mark on RA!"
Also speaking at the ceremony was B. Michael Heimbach, 2015 Valedictorian and 2015 Salutatorian, Lianna Jante. In the fall, Mr. Heimbach will be attending Temple University on a half-tuition scholarship to study actuarial science. Miss Jante will attend the University of Pittsburgh to study engineering.
