PHOENIXVILLE, PA --- On Friday, October 31st, 2014, Renaissance Academy held its annual Fall Costume Parade.  The parade is usually one of the highlights of the first trimester and this year was no exception.  Students in grades K-6 donned their fun, cute, silly and scary costumes as they paraded around the school grounds, then through the hallways of the 7-12 grade upper school.

The parade was accompanied by wonderfully, seasonal songs, such as “Monster Mash”, “Thriller”, and “Scooby Doo, Where Are You” played by the RA band and conducted by Band Director, Joe Gehring.

The most popular girl’s costume this year was Elsa from the Disney movie, “Frozen”.  RA had over 25 Elsa’s in the parade this year along with two cute Olafs.   There was a group photograph taken on the playground which displayed the “Frozen” princesses in all their glory.

Many of the teachers and staff members also got into the spirit with a large number dressing up like minions from the movie “Despicable Me”.  Special Education teacher, Julie Fetters, who organized the mass minion dress-up, said, “We thought it would be a great way to show our school community spirit.  It started out as a small group, but just kept growing.  It was truly fun to see the students’ reactions to seeing so many of their teachers dressed as minions.”
