Nyseria Scott's ImprintRA art teacher, Amy James was proud to announce that the public will be able to view the beautiful imprint artwork of freshman, Nyseria Scott at the Philadelphia International Airport from March through September 2019. Nyseria received this honor by being chosen as a finalist in the 2018 Wharton Esherick Museum Imprint Competition.

Each year, the museum invites art classes from the Chester, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery & Philadelphia Counties. The submissions are judged, without revealing the artist’s name or school, by a jury composed of museum staff and professional artists and/or art teachers.

This year, the judges evaluated over 118 entries, based on creativity and craftsmanship. Twelve to fifteen were selected to be part of the spring 2018 exhibit at the Wharton Esherick Museum. Due to this year's partnership with the Philadelphia Airport, a group of additional finalists was selected for exhibition at the airport, including RA’s own Nyseria Scott (artwork pictured above left).

Located in Malvern, PA, the museum continues Wharton Esherick’s artistic vision he expressed through woodblock prints by hosting this annual high school competition. The aim for this program, is to inspire new generations of young artists through Esherick's prints and legacy
