Collegeville, PA -- On Thursday, November 16th, seven young women from Renaissance Academy in grades 9-12 participated in a BT4G (Business Technology for Girls) event through Pfizer’s Business Technology (BT) team based in Collegeville, PA.

The goals of the event were to raise awareness of the opportunities for women in Information Technology (IT) and the paths to get there, to build brand awareness of Pfizer* as a technology leader and to educate young women on how Pfizer uses technology to help patients. The ultimate objective is to close the gender gap currently seen in technology-related careers.

The Lady Knights enjoyed an interactive day of information, speakers, hands-on demos and more, all surrounding Business Technology. There are plans for a future event geared toward middle school students in the spring of 2017.
