4th – 6th Grade Chester County Regional Science Fair

Parkesburg, PA - On March 14th, 2019, RA 4th through 6th graders participated in the Chester County Regional Research Science Fair at the Parkesburg Point Youth Center, Parkesburg, PA.

Gabrielle Yablonski won a Distinguished Honors blue ribbon for her project on Global Warming Gases. Shirin Khandare also received an Honorable Mention award for her project, Potato Battery, which she received during the 6th-12th grade award assembly.

Kim Wheeles, RA Science Fair Coordinator said, “I really enjoy helping students find the joy of science. These students participate in the fair as independent projects and it's nice to see their thought process and excitement to make the world a better place.”

Renaissance Academy 4th-6th Grade Science Fair

Phoenixville, PA – In late January 2019, RA 4th-6th grade students came together to display their 2018-2019 science projects. Students placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd were eligible to move on to the science fair regionals.

For the 5th grade division, for first place, Carter Meyer, Mason Warwick, and Abinav Shrirang earned 1st place for their project titled “Laughing Launchers”. In 2nd place went to Gabrielle Yablonski with her project on Global Warming Gases. Abigail Carre and Pearlyn Sathish locked up a 3rd place finish with their project on purified vs tap water.

6th grade winners included Aadit Bontha winning 1st place with his project on Wind Energy; 2nd place winner, Shirin Khandare who completed a project creating a Potato Battery; and in third place, Lydia Mosier, Ryan Courtney, and Snigdha Gangwar for their project on Caffeine and Plants.
