Renaissance Academy is proud to celebrate sixth-grade student Marshall Myers, who has been named one of the Philadelphia Phillies’ 2025 All-Star Students, an honor awarded to just ten students across the region for their outstanding character and impact.
Selected from a highly competitive pool of nominations, Marshall’s story stood out for its authenticity, resilience, and abundant kindness. As shared in an essay by his teacher, Shannon Schott, “there’s just something special about Marshall,” a sentiment that resonates deeply within the Renaissance Academy community.
Marshall is known for consistently demonstrating compassion in both small and meaningful ways. Whether it’s calling a classmate on their birthday, bringing a favorite snack to brighten someone’s day, or even purchasing a new pencil sharpener for his classroom with his own money, his actions reflect a genuine commitment to uplifting others. “It is important to him that everyone gets the support they need,” Schott noted, highlighting his selfless nature both in and out of the classroom.
Despite facing personal challenges this year, Marshall continues to show resilience, determination, and a positive spirit. “He comes to school and tries his best, no matter the circumstances,” Schott shared. His perseverance, paired with his academic dedication, has earned him a consistent placement on the honor roll.
Marshall was recognized on the field at the Phillies vs. Giants game on April 29, alongside his nominator, during a special pregame ceremony celebrating this year’s All-Star Students. In addition to the recognition, Renaissance Academy will receive a $1,000 donation in his honor, further extending the impact of his achievement.
Marshall’s recognition is a powerful reminder that leadership is not always loud. It is often found in quiet, consistent acts of kindness.
