Early Release Day
General Information
Renaissance Academy is excited to announce the new Early Release Day schedule.
Early Release Days give our staff time to connect, learn, and plan together so we can better support our students. These afternoons are used for training, team meetings, parent conferences, and collaboration among teachers and staff. It’s a chance to share ideas, strengthen programs, and ensure every student’s needs are met.
More information will be shared as the school year progresses!

Early Release Day is Every Wednesday of the week.
The approved 2025–2026 academic calendar is now live and reflects the typical 184-day school structure, with the Early Release Schedule built into the year. Early release days will occur Every Wednesday of the week, with a 1:30 PM dismissal time.
Some examples include:
- Whole school staff meetings and professional development
- K-12 vertical department meetings
- Student Assistance Plan meetings which require a cross-section of staff
- Middle Leader Team meetings
- Parent meetings that require teachers to miss instructional time
- Common planning and collaboration time
- Induction training for new staff members
- Mentor and mentee meetings and collaboration
From 1:50–3:30 p.m., students who need to stay at school will be safely supervised at no cost. Families can sign up ahead of time if needed. We are also planning fun, optional enrichment activities during this time for a small fee, and more details will be shared soon. After 3:30, Club RA will run as usual until 6:00 p.m., with regular fees applying.
