Defending the Castle: Grit, Growth, and Middle School Basketball Knight Pride!

Last night, our High School Varsity Boys Basketball team delivered a hard-fought  matchup against Faith Christian Academy, coming up just short in a thrilling 56–54 finish.

Junior Jacoby Smith led all scorers with 24 points and reflected on the steadfast game:

“I think it was a great game. Both teams held their own and kept the game competitive. The end of the third quarter was the period where we did not stay focused and gave up a big run that hurt us. We had to play catch up in the fourth, but we didn’t let that discourage us. We stayed in the game as one unit and continued to fight until the end. We didn’t get the job done, but there were a lot of learning opportunities and good takeaways from the game that will get us where we want to be.”

Jacoby credits the late-game comeback to first-year student Ayden Williams, whose clutch three-pointer with one minute remaining tied the game at 54–54 energizing the entire team and crowd.

The perseverance and commitment to growth is what keeps this team striving, and it’s the same spirit you’ll see on the court with our Middle School Knights Basketball team TONIGHT!

We invite families, friends, and staff to come out and pack the gym as our Middle School Knights take the court at home tonight at 4 o'clock.

We hope to see you there as we continue to build momentum, character, and Knight pride together!
