Happy Wednesday! I am reaching out to share a few important updates, housekeeping reminders, and upcoming events. I’ll begin with recent changes.

Horseplay Reminder
We have noticed an increase in horse-playing. To minimize incidents and ensure student safety, any student involved in horseplay will now receive 5 demerits and a 1-day detention. Students are aware of these changes and were informed of the expectations during November’s Homebase meeting. Student safety is our top priority. Please speak with your children about why horseplay is unsafe and inappropriate for school.

Housekeeping

• Students are expected to have their house lanyards, school picture IDs, and keycards every day, as these are part of the school uniform.
• Students must bring their laptops daily and fully charged from the night before.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential as we close out the trimester. Students who accumulate 10 tardies will automatically receive after-school detention.

Please review these expectations with your children to help reduce learning loss and ensure a smooth end to the trimester.

• 11/20: HB Middle School Madness (Students may wear their HB shirts with uniform bottoms)
• 11/25: End of Trimester ONE
• 11/26–11/28: School Closure (All students return on Monday, 12/1)
• 12/9: Trimester ONE Awards Ceremony
